This is my creative life. It is also how I make a living and fund my projects (many of which are offered free as a contribution to healthy communities). My pricing reflects how I value myself, my time and expertise, the quality of my work, and also how I value the contractors I employ on projects.
All pricing is determined on a case by case proposal. While I am willing to negotiate, I hold a minimum acceptable rate on most services.
Writing
Some writing projects are priced according to the hourly demands and the scope of the work. My minimum hourly rate is $35 an hour.
Coaching and Editing for College Students is priced at a minimum hourly rate of $35. I do not write papers for college students as I believe fundamentally in the value of your learning from the research and writing process. However, I will support you through the entire process with a conscientious approach to how I may efficiently serve you during the time for which you pay. I also do this work utilizing the AIM Technique to support you in learning skills that you can independently apply to future projects.
Articles on Education and Parenting, Editing Educational Books and Writing Educational Trainings are enhanced by my considerable knowledge and experience. These are priced on a case by case basis. I consider pricing for these projects based on service to client, scope of work, and time involved in producing quality work. Projects that are works in process, are given temporary pricing that may be revised as I develop a clear sense of the scope of the work, and may include fees for consultation time.
Blogging and Reviews are also priced on a case by case basis. I consider service to client, scope of work, and time involved. In addition: I value and consider the authority and popularity of blogs and/or artists. I value and consider the probability of such blogs and artists driving readers and clients in my direction. I also consider consistency of work as a factor. I review local Los Angeles poets and musicians at least on a monthly basis for my own blog, and will consider you for a free review with free access to your work, or comparable trade.
Consultations
Consultations begin at $50 an hour with a minimum of 2 hours, with additional fees related to travel and preparation if needed. Group rates vary dependent on topic, situation and size of group.
I also consider service to client and scope of work when pricing consultations. For Example: If you hire me to consult on an educational training that you will market to thousands of customers, my rate may be higher depending on my involvement. If you hire me to consult on a school placement or IEP, the complexity of your case, and/or the scope of research involved to provide quality service will be an additional factor.
Coaching
Coaching services are priced at an hourly rate, dependent on travel distance, frequency of services, goals (determining preparation) and individual or group coaching. I do use a sliding scale and will negotiate with you to help you best meet your needs. My rates for your home or your school coaching range from $50-$100 dollars an hour dependent on scope of work and distance traveled. The complexity of your situation will play a role in determining the type and frequency of services I suggest. Coaching prices reflect additional time that I spend gathering and preparing materials and not only the time I spend directly coaching.
