My Educational Philosophy
Within each individual resides tremendous potential and creativity. All learners deserve opportunities to discover their own gifts and apply them to a continuum of growth and targeted progress for life success. My educational philosophy is that all learners, regardless of perceived capacities and real life challenges, are ready to improve their learning outcomes through Accelerated Interactive Metacognition.
Learners need a range of skills to equip them for success in the 21st century, but one of the most important skills they need to learn is how to think. AIM is designed to help learners develop their thinking.

Accelerated learning by targeting specific skills and goals, teaching needed content and promoting transferable knowledge and strategies.
Interactive learning based on socratic inquiry and dialogue, which engages the learner as an empowered activator of their own progress.
Metacognition (the ability to think about one’s own thinking processes) through reflective evaluation of learning styles and methods, and analysis of failures and successes.
My Goal As An Educator
My goal as an educator, coach and consultant is to share the insights and expertise I’ve developed through years of reflective learning and teaching in a variety of environments. I don’t provide all the answers. I reflect on the questions and apply my knowledge and experiences to support learning.
I provide tools for coaching educators, families and kids on how to learn, how to think, and how to apply learned skills and strategies to new learning opportunities for lifetime success. I hope to inspire educators, families and kids to hone their own curiosity and wonder towards acquiring wisdom.
As a coach, I am dedicated to facilitating and promoting positive outcomes through humble interactive inquiry. As a writer, I contribute to the co-creation of happy, healthy and successful communities.
